Finally I’m writing this blog. I would like to start with my impressions after a conversation with Mrs. Czesława. First of all, I beg to say that Mrs. Czeslawa is a charming, warm and open person. Most of the time, I was just sitting and listening to her extraordinary story. I was, and I am still very impressed of how could a girl of my age (Mrs. Czeslawa was about 17 years old when the War broke out) could manage with such a complicated reality. Would I be as brave, organizated, self-controlled and smart as she was? It turned out that Mrs. Czesława was living in my neighbourhood before and during the War. She was telling us about taking some people, across the streets I know, for save them... Every morning, when going to school, I wonder how could it be, if I were born few years earlier?
I’m very glad to participate in this project. It is very edifying to hear about common, or rather uncommon, exceptional human help.
